Karina Talamantes is the City of Sacramento Vice Mayor & Councilmember of District 3: Proudly serving the communities of Natomas, Northgate, and Gardenland.

As the daughter of immigrant parents Magdalena & Reginaldo, Karina witnessed firsthand the hard work and sacrifice needed to reach her goals. Prior to being elected in December of 2022, Karina balanced her time as a business owner, Sacramento County Board of Education President, and Chief of Staff for then-Councilmember Ashby for five years. She is focused on addressing homelessness, public safety, the housing crisis, and supporting the working-class community she represents.
